Hi, my name is Bentley!

I’m a beautiful 5 year old Brindle English Bulldog. My foster mom says I’m very affectionate and a very good girl.

My current foster home has other dogs, cats, and tiny humans. Although I have lived with a 3 year old for the past two months, temper tantrum and rough housing tend to trigger me. With that being said, I would be best in a home with only older children. Similarly, while I have been living with other dogs in my foster home, my foster mom feel I would do best as an only dog. I don’t pay much attention to passive dogs, but if a dog shows any aggression towards me, I tend to react.

I’m not very reactive to many worldly things like many others, but I do not like the windshield wipers when my family takes me for rides in the car. I LOVE to go for rides in the car. I ride alone great and listen very well. I don’t like rough play, as it appears to give me anxiety and causes me to get a bit riled up!

I am house trained, but I’m currently on regular medications (Proin and Incurin) due to my urinary issue. My friends at the IBR had me treated for a UTI and ectopic ureter surgery to help, but I appear to still have a bit of leaking at times. I’m still working with a specialist, so hopefully I’ll be remedied after some additional adjustments to my medications.

Although I like to sleep in the bed at night, I’m also fine in my crate or on a bed in my foster mom’s room. If I try to get on my mom’s bed and she tells me to lay down in my own, I do just that.

Speaking of forever homes, my forever family could be one with a busy lifestyle and I’ll gladly enjoy the ride, but I’d also be perfectly content having a quiet house with all the attention to myself! If you think I might be a good fit in your home, inquire with my friends at the IBR.
