Boris

Meet Boris!

Boris is an Olde English mix and is estimated to be around 5 years old. Boris was brought in as a stray when the homeless camp he was staying at was evacuated. Boris is such a sweet and friendly guy. He is so friendly, in fact, that it can come off a little aggressive. He will quite literally kiss you to death.

He and his foster parents are currently working on boundaries with “no” and “off.” Boris has proven that he wants to please and he is receptive to corrections. A little training will definitely go a long way for him! Boris has proven to be a good work form home buddy, but he is also fine in his crate during the day. He just wants to be around you. He loves all the pets and cuddles.

Boris is good in the car and walks fairly well on a leash with minimal pulling. He knows “sit” even if he pretends he doesn’t unless you have a treat. He does have his periods of high energy which include jumping (and yes a little humping) which is why he would probably be best in a home without small children. He will also need to be the only dog in his new home.

He had a failed meet and greet with a potential adopter’s resident dog. He displayed the same behavior with his foster family’s dog as well. The shelter where he was pulled from said that he had been “fine” around a female dog at there, but so far he has shown aggressive tendencies with two males on two separate occasions.
