Bronson

Bronson is a special guy looking for a special home. He is 10 years old, but you would never know it by the way he acts. He is a bundle of love and wants to spend the entire day cuddled up with his person.

Being the gentleman he is, he automatically sits for treats without being told to do so and accepts them nicely. He is happy to lie around or chew on a bone all day to pass the time, and even walks well on a leash!  He can be a bit stubborn and persistent, but what determined Bulldog can’t?

Bronson is fully housebroken and crate trained, although he will protest for about fifteen minutes or so when he first enters his crate.  You can’t blame him though; he simply wants to be with humans all the time and will follow you wherever you go.  He has a whine that you will only hear if he needs to go to out or if he can’t get to you.

One of his favorite activities is to create a nest with every blanket you will allow him to have (and maybe a few he grabs on his own). If you get down to his level, he will shower you with big sloppy bulldog kisses.  He is quite entertaining too!  When rolling on his back or scratching his own ears, he likes to bark and yell at himself.  If a human friend scratches his ears, he is as happy as can be.

Bronson originally came to the IBR as one of a bonded pair, but unfortunately his other half passed unexpectedly and he has struggled since. He easily becomes attached to his person and can be very protective of them.  For this reason, he will need a single person home with no other pets. He may do ok with a couple, but not children.  He does love all people when in neutral territory though.

Bronson does have fixated knees which has changed his gate and requires him to take 2 pills a day to help. He doesn’t let this stop him at all, though, and is still quite agile.
