24 Mar Chipper
Chipper came to the IBR as an owner surrender due to his need for a costly bowel obstruction surgery and some kidney stones.
He is reportedly a very quiet boy, but will bark every now and then. He is great on leash, an excellent car rider, crate trained, house broken, and loves all the attention. His greatest ambition in life is to live as a couch potato and to be fed his favorite treat all day….CHEESE! When cheese is wrapped around his post-surgery medication, his foster family had no problems getting him to take his pills.
He does have dry eye and takes drops for it, but when he sees the cheese and the eye dropper bottle he will come and sit down by you with no issues, no fighting. Nothing really seems to get him wound up. He currently lives in a “dog” neighborhood, and on his walks many dogs will charge fences barking, and Chipper simply looks, cocks his head, then just keeps on walking. He’s truly a wonderful dog.
