12 Oct Gwenny
Gwenny is an adorable 3-year-old bulldog with a huge heart. She just wants play, nap, and be loved by everyone.
She wants to be near you at all times, which is nice because you will currently want to know where she is at all times. She is all puppy and likes to stay busy when she is not napping. You might find her chewing something if she gets bored, but her foster parents are working on ending this behavior through redirection and plenty of chew toys. On that subject, she loves playing with her many chew toys, and seems to share them well with her fur siblings.
Gwenny was found wandering the streets of Kentucky, which is shocking that someone wouldn’t want this precious girl. She is currently working on being house trained by using the crate method, because she will not potty in her crate. Her listening skills are great for a bulldog, so her foster parents are hopeful that she will be house trained very soon!
She is somewhat skittish with people until she gets to know them. She may also try to run away from you or bolt out the door if you aren’t looking. Gwenny needs to feel safe and secure with you. She is still dealing with past traumas from before she was rescued by the IBR, so you will need to be patient with her.
Gwenny doesn’t mind being in her crate when you leave her alone, but she will sometimes let the other dogs in the house know that she is there as well by practicing her vocal skills.
Car time is also a fun time for Gwenny. She loves to travel in the car and especially likes to feel the wind in her hair.
She will let you pet and lover her constantly once she knows you are her forever family.
