Hello there! I’m Luna, and I was recently surrendered to the IBR by a breeder after I could no longer produce puppies. I am so glad to be here now and to hopefully find my forever home soon.

I’m pretty petite for an english bulldog, weighing in at just 30lbs. Don’t let my size fool you though! I am full of energy when I decide it’s time to play & I love to wrestle with my humans. I am also a big lover. I’m a lap dog and tend to fall madly in love with my humans. One might say I’m a “stage 5 clinger.” I will follow you everywhere, so don’t plan to have much alone time if I’m around!

I get along great with my foster brother Ollie, who is a French Bulldog. We share toys and food dishes without any aggression. I also have a cat at my foster home and we get along well too.

My foster mom works from home most days and she has not put me in a crate yet, but we are working on house training. I use a doggie door, so I don’t currently have to ask to go outside. I go right outside to take care of business when needed. If you don’t have a doggie door, I will need a you to understand that I will need some training. Don’t fret, though, I am smart and train well with treats. Since we’re on the topic, you should know that I get super excited when my parents come home or when visitors come to see me… so excited that I tend to pee a little. This is just the first time I’ve been loved and treated well in my whole life, so I can’t hold in my happiness. Please give me time to adjust, and I’m sure we can work it.

Regarding my maintenance, since I was bred to be a very small bulldog I do have some requirements. I have bad allergies, which effect my skin and breathing. I recently started receiving allergy medication injections that have worked wonders. All my fur is growing back since my skin is healing, so I’ll need to continue with those. I get a medicated bath every week to keep my skin in check. Thankfully I absolutely love them and am even small enough to fit in the kitchen sink! I have a deep tail pocket that needs to be cleaned every other day and deep wrinkles that require regular cleaning and wrinkle paste. I promise to return the favor by being the most lovable a loyal dog, though.
