Hola! My name is Rico! If you did not know, Rico means “wealthy” and can also mean “delicious” in Spanish. My name completely describes my personality!

For starters, I am wealthy beyond belief in love and kindness. I’m generous too! I give my foster parents hugs all the time! Yes, I know how to hug. If you say “Rico, hug,” I put both of my paws on your shoulders and lean my head in. My foster parents say it’s truly the sweetest thing! The word “delicious” comes into the meaning of my name because I think that treats are most delicious! I am often told that I am the bestest boy, which is why I get all the treats my heart desires.

I am fabulous and know a variety of commands! I am house and crate trained to, as well. I even get along with cats, since I lived with some in my previous home! I currently live with two other canine foster siblings. My foster parents have an American Bulldog named Theo, and Rocket, an Olde English Bulldog who is a foster with the Indiana Bulldog Rescue. Even though it has only been a week, I already love both Rocket and Theo! The three of us play together all the time and have so much fun! Due to this, I would prefer that my forever family have another dog so that I can have a playmate.

My foster parents say that even though I am a pretty big dog, I am excellent when being walked on a leash. They often call me a gentle giant. I enjoy cuddling on the couch and laying in my foster parent’s laps. According to them, I think I am a small lap dog. I definitely love to play, but I also have a chill and snuggly side to me. You essentially get the best of both worlds!

You should know that I can get a little scared when it comes to sudden or erratic movements. Therefore, I am not so great around young children; it frightens me a little when they run around quickly and do not respect my boundaries. I can also get a little excited sometimes and jump up when I am greeted by new people. I am learning “down,’ however, I am a big dog so I would probably knock a small child over if I jumped up out of love and excitement. For the safety of everyone, I prefer to be around older children and adults.

I have already seen a specialized Bulldog veterinarian through the IBR and he said I was the bestest and healthiest boy! I am up to date on all of my vaccines now too!

Overall, I am a wonderful dog and will make someone very happy! I hope that someone is you. Please check back soon for any pupdates!
