18 Oct Stitch
Stitch is an owner surrender due to not being able to keep up with his medication schedule and cost of care. Stitch has epilepsy and has round the clock medication needed-he takes phenobarbital 2x/day and Keppra 3x/day, so someone who works from home would be an ideal fit for him.
Stitch is a very sweet boy who loves to follow his people around and explore his surroundings. He takes a minute to warm up to you, but once he is he’s a big ol’ snuggle bug. He’s got a very calm demeanor and doesn’t bark much, so he would even be ok in an apartment!
When he’s not napping, Stitch enjoys being outside, chewing on bones, carrying toys around, and playing with his foster dog sister. He gets along well with other dogs, cats, adults, AND kids He’s also very food motivated and eager to learn for rewards. (This also makes it super easy to get him to take his meds… but don’t tell him we told you!)
Stitch has had a few accidents in his foster home, but he’s working hard on his potty training skills. Also, through some trial and error, it’s been discovered he’s not crate trained, but we are working on that.
He is a water gulper, so water intake should be monitored to help prevent accidents. Thankfully, his foster mom works at home and can take him out often to also help aid in his potty training. Someone who has lots of patience and flexibility would be a perfect fit for him.
Overall, he’s the sweetest guy who wants nothing more than to get all the pets, belly rubs, and cuddles. If you think you’d be a good fit for this special boy, please APPLY TODAY!
