Molly is a 7 month old bulldog with some serious, congenital orthopedic problems with her back legs. She was diagnosed grade IV/IV luxating knee cap on her right knee which has caused her femur bone to curve. When she came to IBR, she was not a normal, active puppy. She would sit a lot and pivot or drag her back end to get where she wanted to go. She could not jump.
Thanks to IBR and our generous supporters, Molly had surgery to correct her knee in early March. It has been a long, slow recovery – she had 18 staples!
But, she is doing very well and is now beginning to act like a typically happy and energetic bulldog puppy.
The surgery costs were over $4,000 but it was well worth it to see Molly happy.
