Hello, my name is Winnie! I’m a healthy five year old fawn English Bulldog. My foster mom says I’m a real sweetheart.
I’m a die-hard foodie, so much that I even eat my vegetables (broccoli and green peppers are two of my favorites). I love it so much that I do get aggressive with other dogs when it comes to my food. Due to my love for food, I also tend to beg when you’re eating or cooking.
I like to play with my toys and sometimes toss them into the air so I can catch them. I’ll even bring them to you when I want you to join in on the fun. I must be honest, I tend to get aggressive over my NEW toys, so make sure I have a little space until the newness wears off. More than play, I love my naps and spend most of the day snoozing around the house. I tend to sleep best with my people and will sleep soundly through the night.
I’m both house and crate trained. I’m fairly vocal when I want something, so you’ll know if I want to go outside, if I’m hungry, or if I simply want to snuggle with you. Speaking of snuggles, I like to give you small nibbles on the nose to show my affection. If you’re good, I’ll occasionally even give you a regular kiss!
Unlike most ladies, I don’t much care for those romantic walks everyone talks about. I’m more of a relax on the patio and people watch kind of gal. Occasionally I’m in the mood for a walk, but I don’t entirely love them. What I do love about the occasional walk, is the people. I LOVE people! However, I should tell you, I’m protective of my humans. I’m not exactly what I would consider aggressive, but if I feel my family is being encroached upon, I will let you know and may growl. With that being said, it may be best that I don’t go to a home with other dogs or small children.
Again, I’m very healthy, and I’m spayed fully vaccinated. I do have a tail pocket that should be cleaned regularly, but that’s normal…I am a Bully after all! On that topic, like most Bullies, I get a little nervous and anxious by loud noises like construction or thunderstorms. I can also be rather stubborn, so it wouldn’t terrible if I received some training or behavioral consistency.
I’m sure there is more you’d love to know about me, but you can always ask my friends at the IBR. If you love me as much as most people do, you should apply to make me yours forever!
