Meet Diesel!

Diesel is a 3-year-old male weighing 61 pounds who is looking for his forever home. He was surrendered by his previous owner who could no longer care for him, but he hasn’t let that dampen his fun-loving spirit. Diesel is a big dog with a goofy personality—he pounces like a lion when he plays, has a bark that sounds like a bullfrog, and loves rolling onto his back for belly rubs, sometimes getting stuck like a turtle. He also loves cuddles and will happily soak up attention from his people. He enjoys his toys and his dog bed and is happiest when he’s comfortable and near his family.

Diesel is currently living in a home with six other dogs and does well with all of them, showing he can be social and easygoing. He is crate trained and goes into his crate without issue, behaving well while inside. He is mostly potty trained and continues to do well with consistency. Diesel has been through quite a bit recently, including time in a shelter where he picked up some illnesses, but those have all been treated and he is now healthy. He has also recently been neutered and had eye surgery.

Diesel will need to remain on a prescription low-fat diet for the rest of his life, so his future family should be prepared for that ongoing care. He is a sweet, resilient dog with a playful personality who is ready for a fresh start with a family who will love and care for him.
