Hi there! The name’s Gus. When I came into the rescue, I was not doing very well and seem to have found myself in a fight with another dog. A nice lady from the rescue took me to the vet, though, and I’m now recovering with my foster family.

During my short time in rescue, I’ve discovered that I LOVE car rides, going on walks, and playing with stuffies and tennis balls. I’m also starting to get used to my new name and sleeping in my crate at nighttime. I even know how to sit and how to tell you if I need to go potty!

My foster mom and dad are great! I love humans, humans are my favorite. I’m just not sure how to handle being around the two dogs they have. One of them is really big and I am not great at being in the same room with him. The other one is a girl and we had a few not-so-nice moments when I arrived, but she seems pretty nice and we’re ok together sometimes.

With that being said, it would be best if I was the only fur-child in your home and if the human kids were a little older.

I can get a little anxious and seem scared at times, so please be patient with me. Like most good boys, I just need some time to warm up to my new surroundings. I do NOT like being confined to a certain room unless it’s on my own terms. I can get very defensive and just have a bit of an attitude. I will go into my crate if I want to, but I want to be with my humans at all times.

I know my forever family is out there somewhere, so I will just have to be patient.  I’m confident they’ll find me one day though.

If you want to get to know me, fill out an application today to see if we’re a good fit.

I can’t wait to meet you!
