IBR safeguards the information you provide when completing an application to adopt a bulldog, to become a volunteer, or to surrender a bulldog. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We may disclose your personal information to third-party service providers such as credit card processors (but only to the extent that such disclosure is needed) or if required to do so by law or regulation (for example, a subpoena), or in good faith to (a) comply with legal processes served on the site; (b) protect the rights and property of IBR; (c) where our records indicate fraudulent activity or other deceptive practices that a governmental agency should be made aware of; or (d) where your communication suggests possible harm to others.
Only approved volunteers of the Indiana Bulldog Rescue can view your applications or submitted forms, which is safeguarded via separate login and password information for each volunteer. Your information will be used only in connection with meeting the objectives and purposes of IBR, including but not limited to contacting your veterinarian to verify regular care for current and/or past pets, contacting your landlord to determine verify your rental arrangement and any restrictions on pet ownership, and contacting your references to verify suitability for adoption of a bulldog. We may also use the information you provide to respond to requests for information or services, to notify and thank you for any donations received, or to otherwise provide customer support or education. Your information will never be used for personal purposes or personal gain.
IBR keeps your e-mail address only for communications with IBR. We will never give your e-mail address to a third party without permission of the user except as stated herein. Your data is stored in password-controlled servers with limited access. Our website uses secure socket layer (“SSL”) encryption to protect your personal information whenever it is collected or transmitted.
The website does generate certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to the website. This information is used for internal purposes only. The statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
